For 17-year-old Paul Bocuse, life moves at the pace of a race car. Based in Orlando, Florida, and holding dual citizenship with France, Paul is not only a high school student, he’s a professional race car driver.
As a Junior Driver for Porsche, Paul's career as a race car driver is already full speed ahead. At just 15 years old, he became the youngest Porsche Sprint GT4 champion. This past year, he secured second place in the Porsche Sprint GT3 Championship. Yet, behind the roar of engines and podium finishes lies an equally important pursuit: his education.
As a full-time student at Crimson Global Academy (CGA), he’s enrolled in the US Diploma program while balancing the demands of his motorsport career.
The flexibility of CGA’s online learning model has been key to making this possible.
“The flexibility CGA offers is a game-changer,” Paul says. “I can watch recordings of my classes while I’m traveling, which is a huge help when I can’t attend live sessions.”
For Paul, this adaptability is crucial in a field where opportunities arise on short notice. The global timetable at CGA ensures that students like Paul, who are engaged in pursuits outside the classroom, can keep up with rigorous academics without sacrificing their passions.
While racing is Paul’s primary passion, he is equally committed to his education.
When he’s not on the track, Paul is hitting the books. His classes include AP Psychology, Physics, Integrated Math, Creative Writing, and electives.
He admits that Creative Writing posed a challenge initially but credits his teacher’s encouragement for helping him improve.
“My teacher is incredibly supportive, which motivates me to push myself with every assignment,."
Paul was drawn to CGA for its academic reputation.
“CGA isn’t just another online school—it’s on a whole different level,” he shares. “I’m proud to be part of such a highly accredited program and to be doing so well here.”
The school’s ability to place students by skill level, not age, allowed Paul to advance in his studies while maintaining his demanding racing career.
Paul’s passion for racing extends outside of his own achievements. He works as a karting coach, helping young drivers develop their skills and confidence.
“Attending CGA has given me the time to help others pursue their passion, just as I’m pursuing mine,” he says.
Coaching has allowed Paul to stay connected to the sport and support the next generation of racers.
Paul’s mother, Robin Bocuse, has seen how CGA’s structure has supported her son’s goals.
“I chose CGA to give Paul the chance to follow his passion for racing while receiving a top-tier education,” she says.
“It’s given him the best of both worlds.”
She’s also noticed a positive impact on Paul’s academics.
“His grades are better, and he’s more committed to his studies."
Paul’s long-term goal is to become a Porsche factory driver and compete at the highest level of motorsport.
At the same time, he plans to study Business at the University of Miami, preparing him to join his family’s restaurant business in the future.
“The challenging curriculum and supportive teachers at CGA have helped me improve my GPA, preparing me for my goal of studying Business,” he shares.
Paul also finds motivation from his CGA community.
“One of my teachers is pursuing a degree while teaching, which reminds me that hard work and dedication can help you achieve your goals,” he says.
The small class sizes and global student community make CGA more than just a school—it’s a place where ambitious students support one another.
For Paul, CGA is the perfect fit for a life lived at full speed. While he pursues his dream of racing, he’s building a solid academic foundation to prepare for whatever comes next.
“CGA has made it possible for me to chase my dreams without compromising on my education.”
