The strong results also demonstrate the success of our innovative partnership with Pearson since 2022 to trial remote invigilation.This allows students to take Pearson Edexcel assessments from their home or a personal workspace, whilst ensuring the security and integrity of the exam.

Remote Invigilation Innovation Allows Students To Take Exams At Home

In 2022 CGA joined a pilot programme for online exams run by Pearson. After a successful trial at the May/June 2024 IGCSE exams, remote exams are now the default method for IGCSE examination at CGA.

For AS and A2 Level exams, CGA delivered the world's first remote invigilation trial at the October/November 2024 exams. In line with GCSEs, AS and A2 exams will also be moving online from the May/June 2025 exam season.

The innovation allows students greater flexibility in terms of location and reduces the travel and organisation required in taking their exams at a physical exam test centre. It also limits students' exam stress and anxiety by being in a familiar environment, instead of a testing room.
