Saida’s days begin early, often before the world stirs. At 6:30 am, this student from Dubai is already on the tennis court for her first practice session.
But this is just the start of a daily schedule that juggles intense training and an equally packed academic routine. However, Saida makes it look effortless. Her focus and commitment are paying off in incredible ways.
In recent months, Saida’s achievements on the tennis court have been outstanding.
In just three months, she has achieved the following:
• November: 1st place at the Qatar ATF.
• October: 2nd place in singles and 1st in doubles at the Tennis Europe Junior Tour.
• September: 1st place in Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Tennis Federation tournament.
“The Tennis Europe Junior Tour felt most special to me because I played against strong and talented opponents. Winning in such a competitive environment made me really happy,” she shares.
Behind these wins is a strict schedule that few could manage. After her morning training session at 6:30am, Saida heads home to have breakfast with her family before starting her CGA classes at 10am.
“My classes finish at 4:15 pm, but between lessons, I use the breaks to go to the gym. After school, I head back to the court for another three hours of practice.”
Her evenings are spent checking homework and preparing for the next day. “That’s what a day in my life looks like.”
Saida credits much of her ability to maintain this pace to the support she receives from studying at CGA. She says her teachers and peers play a huge role in her success.
“They are incredibly helpful and supportive of my career. They ask how my tournaments are going and motivate me to do my best. If I miss any work, they guide me and show me how it’s done.”
“What inspired me to join CGA was that I could focus on my tennis career as well as education… I heard from many people that it’s a really good online school, and I agree.”
The school’s structure lets her manage training, tournaments, and academics without compromise. As a young athlete this relieves a lot of pressure on students who are trying to manage all of their commitments and still do well in their studies.
“Unlike physical schools, CGA gives me time between lessons to train, and I can travel for competitions without worrying about missing out on school.”
Her passion for excellence is fuelled by her inspirations. “For me in sports, it’s Aryna Sabalenka because she’s a fighter and doesn’t give up no matter what...In education, it’s my family because I always want to do very well in my exams to make them proud.”
Saida’s ambitions are as big as her determination. “In tennis, my goal is to become the best player and win many Grand Slam titles,” she says, though she’s still shaping her academic aspirations.
Students like Saida are choosing CGA because it allows them to focus on their goals while keeping up with their studies.
The school's flexible scheduling, supportive teachers, and a global network helps young athletes like Saida pursue their dreams without feeling overwhelmed.
CGA also recognises the importance of well-being, ensuring students have the space and support to stay balanced and healthy amidst demanding schedules.
“CGA provides so many opportunities. You can travel anywhere and still get your education. The teachers are supportive and professional, and you won’t regret joining.”
